CertConnect Simplifies Workforce Certification Monitoring

CCO Certification is proud to offer CertConnect, a powerful workforce certification monitoring tool integrated directly into the myCCO Portal. Built in response to growing demand from employers, training providers, insurance companies, regulatory agencies, and other industry stakeholders, CertConnect provides organizations with a centralized way to monitor personnel certifications, remain compliant, and receive important status notifications.

By bringing certification information, expiration dates, photo identification, and automated alerts together in one location, CertConnect helps organizations reduce administrative work, improve visibility, and maintain a more job-site-ready workforce.

What Is CertConnect?

CertConnect is not a standalone platform. It is an enhanced feature available through the established myCCO Portal. The myCCO Portal already allows candidates and certificants to register for exams, schedule tests, view results, access certification information, and manage other CCO-related activities. CertConnect builds on that foundation by giving approved organizations the ability to connect with candidates and certificants and monitor their CCO Certification status.

After an individual approves a connection request, authorized organization managers can view that person’s current certifications, certification expiration dates, and approved photo identification. Because the information comes directly from CCO Certification records, an individual’s status is updated within CertConnect as certification changes occur.

Why CertConnect Matters

Organizations may be responsible for verifying that personnel performing specific work hold the appropriate certifications and qualifications. Managing this information across multiple employees, contractors, projects, and locations can become time-consuming, especially when organizations rely on spreadsheets, manual searches, or internally developed tracking systems.

CertConnect simplifies this process by bringing connected personnel into one centralized dashboard. Rather than repeatedly searching for individual records through Verify CCO, organization managers can monitor connected candidates and certificants in one place. CertConnect also provides automated email notifications when certification-related changes occur, helping managers identify upcoming expirations and other important updates. Whether an organization is managing a small team or monitoring hundreds of certified personnel, CertConnect provides greater visibility into workforce certification status while reducing the administrative burden associated with manual tracking.

Key Features of CertConnect

  • Real-Time Certification Tracking

View current certification records for connected candidates and certificants, including certification types, expiration dates, and approved photo identification.

  • Automated Notifications

Receive email alerts when certifications are added, updated, or approaching expiration, allowing your organization to address certification needs before they affect workforce readiness.

  • Centralized Personnel Monitoring

View connected candidates and certificants from one location rather than maintaining multiple spreadsheets or conducting repeated individual searches.

  • Multi-User Organization Access

Add multiple authorized users or managers to an organization so certification oversight can be shared across departments, projects, or locations.

  • Individual and Bulk Connection Requests

Search for individuals using their unique nine-digit CCO ID number or upload multiple candidates in bulk when managing a larger workforce.

  • Candidate-Controlled Connections

Certification information is shared only after the candidate or certificant accepts the organization’s connection request. Individuals are notified by email and may approve or reject each request.

How to Get Started with CertConnect

Follow these steps to establish your organization and begin requesting connections:

  1. Log in or register for the myCCO Portal.
  2. From the myCCO Dashboard, click the email address displayed in the upper-right corner to open the account menu. Select “CCO Pro.”
  3. Follow the prompts to add your organization. Each myCCO account may be associated with one approved organization at a time.
  4. Once the organization has been approved, begin requesting connections with candidates or certificants who:
    • Are registered for the myCCO Portal;
    • Have an approved photo on file; and
    • Have a valid nine-digit CCO ID number, typically beginning with 444 or 555.

Organization managers may search for individuals by CCO ID or upload candidates in bulk.

  1. After the connection request is submitted, the candidate or certificant will receive an email notification. The individual may then accept or reject the request.

Once a connection is accepted, the individual will appear within the organization’s CertConnect dashboard, where authorized managers can monitor applicable certification information.

Designed for the Industry

CertConnect was developed using feedback from organizations that need a more efficient and reliable way to monitor workforce certification status. The platform can support employers confirming operator credentials, training providers monitoring the certification progress of connected individuals, insurance organizations reviewing workforce qualification information, and other stakeholders seeking greater certification visibility. By combining centralized monitoring, automated notifications, current certification records, and individual consent, CertConnect creates a more transparent and efficient certification management process. Organizations can spend less time maintaining manual records and more time ensuring personnel are properly certified and prepared for the work ahead.
