Founded as a nonprofit dedicated to load handling equipment safety
Developed by industry, for industry, CCO programs are built with input from professionals representing contractors, labor, equipment owners and manufacturers, training organizations, government agencies, insurers, standards-setting bodies, and other industry stakeholders.
CCO combines this real-world industry expertise with professional psychometric and exam-development practices to create fair, valid, and effective assessments of the knowledge and skills needed to work safely in and around load handling equipment. Program development also considers applicable OSHA requirements and ANSI/ASME standards.
Through independent certification, CCO helps reduce workplace risk, encourage quality training, improve safety performance, and recognize qualified professionals throughout the industry.
